Alumni Society of Architectural Engineers (ASAE)

Connect. Engage. Excel.

The Alumni Society of Architectural Engineers (ASAE) is a chartered Affiliate Program Group (APG) within the College of Engineering. The purpose of ASAE is to encourage the continued interest and professional development of all graduates of the Department of Architectural Engineering and to act as an informal advisory board to the head of the department. The organization promotes fellowship and communication among architectural engineering alumni, faculty and students in order to actively work for the improvement of the department and the college.

ASAE is governed by a board of directors that is made up of 14 members - 10 ASAE members are elected to the board by the regular membership. They are architectural engineering alumni who hold the elected positions of the society officers: president, vice president, secretary and 7 at-large members. The other four members are designated by the charter, and include the department head, a Faculty Member, Penn State Engineering Alumni Society (PSEAS) Representative, and the immediate past ASAE president.

All living graduates of Penn State's architectural engineering program are members and there are no dues or fees.

Widely acknowledged as one of the top Architectural Engineering programs in the world, the Penn State AE Department is dedicated to providing outstanding academic excellence to all of our students. The AE program is focused on preparing students and conducting research in the design, engineering, and construction of building projects.
