Scholarships and Awards

Scholarship recipients are announced each year in the summer. All awards are directly deposited into student bursar accounts for the following fall and spring semesters.

Scholarships are available for all undergraduate students currently in AE or those intending to enroll in AE within the 2022-23 academic year and to all AE discipline options (construction, lighting/electrical, mechanical, structural). While scholarships are available for current first-year students through fourth-year students many of the scholarships are targeted towards current third- and fourth-year students as they are discipline specific.

All undergraduate AE students, particularly those in the first three years of the program, are also encouraged to apply for scholarships through the University Financial Aid Office as there are several general University and College of Engineering scholarships available that are not processed through the AE department’s scholarship committee.

Requirements for receiving scholarships vary but include several factors such as academic performance, financial need, residence requirements, AE option, leadership experiences, honors, and extra-curricular activities. Several are merit-based which include factors such as academic performance, experience, and professional activity.
