Building Illumination Systems

Research in building illumination systems focuses on the analysis and design of lighting systems for buildings, covering both electric lighting and daylighting. Building illumination systems research includes:

  • Psychology of light
  • Human performance and subjective response to lighting, photometry, lighting system and component design
  • Lighting system modeling and visualization
  • Daylighting design and control strategies
