Scholarships and Awards

Scholarship recipients are announced each year at an award ceremony held in April at the Nittany Lion Inn. All awards are directly deposited into student tuition accounts for the following fall and spring semesters.

Scholarships are available to students in all AE options and in some areas of special study. Most scholarships are weighted towards third- and fourth-year students.

Department of Architectural Engineering Scholarship applications are due February 10, 2017.

First and second year AE students are encouraged to apply for scholarships available through the Financial Aid Office. There are several general scholarships available at the University and College of Engineering level that are not processed through the AE department committee.

Not all scholarships are need based. Several are performance and experienced based. Award amounts vary from $500 to full tuition. Some of the scholarships available to 4th-year students may also include an offer of summer employment with the sponsoring firm.
